    Description

Excellent vintage condition.  Pieces do not appear to have been worn.  Jewelry has a coating of light, rich patina, which has not been disturbed by polishing.  Necklace features a tag signed ANNE DICK on one side, and STERLING on the other.  Both oversized lobster clasps are also marked 925.
Necklace measures 18" in length; bracelet measures 8" in length; dangle hook earrings measure 1.5" from top of hook (1" from top of charm to bottom).  Entire set weighs 36.6g.
Anne Dick was a self-taught American silversmith who worked in brutalist, modernist craft designs.  She founded Anne R. Dick Jewelry, and produced one of kind, custom made pieces from 1962 to 2008.  One of her signature techniques was the use of handcraft U-ball links, connecting each of her metal charms together.  You will notice prolific use of the U-ball links in the necklace and earrings featured here.
Anne Dick is also more famously remembered as the former wife and muse of author Philip K. Dick.  She was the inspiration for Juliana, the heroine in "The Man in the High Castle."  "Juliana" was also a jewelry maker in that story.
Sadly, she passed away in 2017 at the age of 90.
These pieces are remarkable not just for the craftsmanship, but also their design.  Known for her modernist style, Anne Dick took a more botanical, organic turn for these pieces.  The necklace, earrings, and bracelet might seem the same.  But look closer and you will notice that the leaves are different styles.
This whole suite is nothing less than pure wearable art from one of America's finest craft pioneers.  A fine example of feminist style and sensibility.
