Description
We are delighted to offer this commemorative pot replicating the ancient Guanghan Sanxingdui civilization in China. Sanxingdui, also called Guanghan Sanxingdui, is situated in Southwest China’s Sichuan Basin. The Sanxingdui Museum houses ancient artifacts and archeological treasures from the ruins of the Bronze Age in the middle and late Shang Dynasty. These include bronze heads and gold masks of the Guanghan culture. The piece we are offering was sold at the Sanxingdui Museum, but is no longer available. It features 24k gold plating and showcases the gold masks of the Guanghan culture on either side of the vessel. It is mounted on a lucite base where it is signed. The vessel measures approximately 5.25” including the base and is gently used. It weighs approximately 1130 grams. The lucite mount will require a repair to replace one of its 3 feet.
