Antique PAIRPOINT Quadruple Silver Plate Dome Butter Dish Floral

Description

This is a lovely quadruple plate silver plate domed butter dish from Pairpoint, circa 1890s.  Clearly marked as shown.  It has a classic Victorian style with floral engraving on the lid and a ornate finial and handles.  Its rectangular shape is a unusual but typical of great Pairpoint styling and quality.
There is overall plate wear commensurate w/ age. The beautiful leaf and floral pattern is crisp and well defined. The knife rest has the tip of one prong missing.  A knife can still rest there.
Size:  8 3/4" wide; 3 1/2" tall, not including the top.
