    Description

    1950s butter dish Brass with silver plate pumpkin top with footed designer legs, non magnetic. Has surface scratches and silver wear areas, awesome old vintage dining serving piece. Reminds me of something that would be in a shabby old American Victorian Mansion with lots of dusty velvet drapery. It is a rather large butter dish being with lid on 7.7"long, highly domed, 4" tall to gourd - pumpkin top, almost 4.5" wide.  Without lid the base is 2" tall by 7.5" long by almost 4.5" wide with an approximate depth of 1" (without lid). Does all that make sense? lol.  Anyhow it is a fabulous and quaint useful piece of American dinnerware History.  You can leave the patina or you can polish this baby up to your liking.
