    Description

You are looking at a vintage 1900, Victorian, silver plated, round dome lidded & footed butter dish with an attached butter knife or cheese fork holder, an inner removable metal insert, daisy floral engraved design and sunflower & leaf motif with sash on legs, it is engraved "Meridan B. Company 4926" and "MF & Company Replated 7-51" on the bottom of the base along with a picture of a scale. It was made in Meridan, Connecticut and the "B" in the name is for Brittania. I'm positive, but I believe the "Replated 7-51" on the bottom means that the silver was replated in July of 1951 by "MF & Company". It is a bit tarnished, but it is in excellent pre-owned condition ~ does have some scratches, a few pin dots on the inside of the pull out tray, a 1/4" long indent or crease on the underside curve of the base (see pic) and it is missing its butter knife or cheese fork. Its measurements are: 8 1/4" tall to the top of the finial (finial is 1 5/8" tall) 3 7/8" tall to the top of the knife holder 3 5/8" tall x 3 1/4" wide base 5" tall x 5 1/8" wide lid 1 3/4" tall legs with feet that are 4 3/4" apart 1/2" tall x 5" wide round metal insert It weighs a total of 1 pound, 8 1/2 ounces before packaging for shipping USPS Priority Mail Shipping ~ Sorry, NO international shipping ~ I only ship to the lower 48 states and only to confirmed PayPal addresses.
